Our organization teaches Therapeutic Horsemanship skills in a safe environment with our Instructors overseeing each lesson and volunteers assigned to every client and horse to provide support. We aim to assist and encourage our clients to control their bodies and manage their emotions through handling our horses and socializing with us. Our clients develop a special bond with the kind and patient horses, carefully chosen for our organization. Our goal is to help our clients learn to trust and interact with the world around through our horses. Learning these skills help our clients feel they are more involved and productive in their lives.

Ride With Pride is a non-profit organization and we rely on our great volunteers, our generous sponsors, and charitable donations from all over the Valley. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH International), and the Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV), numerous individuals and agencies throughout the Shenandoah Valley have come to rely upon Ride With Pride’s unique approach to therapeutic activities.

Our mission is to serve those in Greater Augusta County and surrounding areas with physical, emotional, and developmental special needs through a wide range of therapeutic equine activities.
